Up and running in three steps

    Download & extract

    Grab the zip below and extract it to any folder. No installer and no admin rights needed.

  2. 02

    Add your games

    Open zmaps5.exe and drag in the folder of a game you dumped from your own console.

  3. 03

    Press play

    Select the game and press Launch. Shaders warm up the first time, then it starts faster.

Questions, answered

Is Zma PS5 free?

Yes. Zma PS5 is free to download and use. It is open source software licensed under the GPL-2.0.

Does it come with games?

No. Zma PS5 contains no games, firmware or Sony files. You need games you have dumped from a PS5 that you own. We do not support piracy.

Will every game run at full speed?

Not yet. Emulation is still in development, so results depend on the game and your PC. Some games run well, some reach menus and some do not start. Mark each game's status in the library to keep track.

Why does a game stutter the first time I play?

The first time a game runs, its graphics shaders are compiled for your GPU. They are saved to a cache, so later sessions are much smoother. The warmup bar shows this progress.

Can I use my PS5 DualSense controller?

Yes. Controllers work out of the box, and you can remap the keyboard globally or for a single game.

Where are my saves and screenshots stored?

Inside the user folder next to zmaps5.exe. Saves can be backed up and restored from the Saves window, and screenshots open from the gallery.

Windows says the file is unknown. Is it safe?

New apps without a paid code-signing certificate often show this message. Choose “More info” and then “Run anyway”. Only download Zma PS5 from zamatools.com.
