About PDF to PDF/A

PDF to PDF/A is part of the Zama Tools toolbox. Convert documents to the PDF/A archival standard for long-term storage and compliance. You do not need to install anything or create an account - open the page, add your file and you are done.

Processing happens on our servers over an encrypted connection, and every uploaded or generated file is deleted automatically a short time after your download. Uploads accept PDF files, and your original file is never modified.

Yes. PDF to PDF/A is free for everyday use, and you do not need an account. Paid plans exist for larger files, higher daily limits, priority processing and batch work.

Uploads and results are stored in a private directory that is not reachable from the web, and both are deleted automatically a few hours after processing. You can also press "Delete file" at any time to remove them immediately.

Files up to 2 MB are supported on the free plan. If you need more, a paid plan raises the limit, and the exact ceiling is always shown on the upload box.

This tool accepts PDF files. Anything else is rejected before it is uploaded, so you get an instant, friendly error instead of a failed conversion.
